Resource Description: |
In-home staff provide individualized services in the private
homes of persons identified and authorized for care by the
Missouri Department of Social Services, Division of Aging.
Care includes basic housekeeping, assistance with personal
hygiene, laundry, running errands for such essentials as to
deliver payments for utilities or to pick up medicines and
groceries. Staff are also available to assist those with
maintenance health care needs such as daily transfers from
bed to wheel chair, routine range of motion exercises needed
to prevent contractures and maintain current level of
mobility, pre-filling of medication reminders and insulin
syringes so the client can take the medicine as prescribed.
Sitters are available to provide respite care while the
primary caregiver is away at work or school. The services
available from VNA Community Services is as varied and
multi-leveled as the needs of the homecare client. Please
call to ask about services to meet your specific needs.

Open Hours: |
Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30
p.m. Services are scheduled 7 days per week, 24 hours per
day if needed. Staff are available on-call 24 hours per day,
7 days per week. |

Senior citizens and handicapped of all ages with chronic
illnesses receive in-home services from VNA Community
Services. |

VNA is a private not-for-profit home health services
provider licensed by the state of Missouri, certified by

Missouri Medicaid, Private Funding and some Medicare is used
to purchase In-home services for VNA clients. |

Additional Notes: |
Division of Aging caseworkers must evaluate and
pre-authorize the Medicaid or Medicare purchase of services
for adults. BY LAW, THE DIVISION OF AGING CASEWORKER MUST
ASK THE CLIENT TO NAME A PREFERRED PROVIDER. PLEASE ASK FOR
VNA. |

Driving Directions: |
From Interstate 55, take exit #19 at Hayti. Turn west onto
Hwy 412/84 and continue into Kennett. Stay on Hwy 84 which
becomes First Street. Turn south (left) onto Slicer Street
at the Commerce Bank and continue to the first four-way stop
sign. Turn west (right) onto Fourth Street and continue a
short distance to the two-way stop. Turn left onto Kennett
Street and immediately back right onto Harrison Street. You
will have just jogged around the corner of VNA's parking
lot. Turn right into this lot. Enter the building through
the door at the front corner of the large building. A
receptionist will be waiting for you on your right just
