Resource Description: |
In-Home staff provide individualized services in the private
homes of persons identified and authorized for care by the
Missouri Department of Social Services, Division of Aging.
Care includes basic housekeeping, assistance with personal
hygiene, laundry, running errands for such essentials as to
deliver payments for utilities or to pick up medicines and
groceries. Staff are also available to assist those with
maintenance health care needs such as daily transfers from
bed to wheel chair, routine range of motion exercises needed
to prevent contractures and maintain current level of
mobility, prefilling of medication reminders and insulin
syringes so the client can take medicine as prescribed.
Sitters are available to provide respite care while the
primary caregiver is away at work or school. The services
available from VNA Community Services is as varied and
multi-leveled as the needs of the homecare client. Please

Open Hours: |
Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30
p.m. Services are scheduled 7 days per week, 24 hours per
day if needed. Staff are available on-call 24 hours per day,
7 days per week. |

Senior citizens and handicapped of all ages with chronic
illnesses receive in-home services from VNA Community
Services. |

VNA is a private not-for-profit home health services
provider licensed by the state of Missouri, certified by
Medicare and Medicaid. |

Missouri Medicaid, Private Funding and some Mediare is used
to purchase In-home services for VNA clients. |

Additional Notes: |
Division of Aging caseworkers must evaluate and
pre-authorize the Medicaid or Medicare purchase of services
for adults. BY LAW, THE DIVISION OF AGING CASEWORKER MUST
ASK THE CLIENT TO SELECT A PROVIDER FOR THEIR SERVICES.

Take U.S. Hwy 60 to Dexter. Go south into Dexter on One Mile
Road (past the hospital)turning Right at the light onto
McCollum Street. Turn Left onto Walnut Street and continue
across the railroad tracks before turning Right onto
Stoddard Street. Continue 2 blocks to Sassafras Street. Turn
Left and the VNA office will be on your right. |
