Resource Description: |
IN-HOME staff provide individualized services in the private
homes of persons requesting services or identified and
authorized for care by the Missouri Division of Aging. The
primary goal of services is to assist senior citizens and
handicapped adults with activities of daily living so they are
able to remain in their own private residences for as long as
possible. Social Services, Division of Aging. Care includes
basic housekeeping, assistance with personal hygiene, laundry,
running errands for such essentials as to deliver payments for
utilities or to pick up medicines and groceries. Staff are also
available to assist those with maintenance health care needs
such as daily transfers from bed to wheelchair, routine range of
motion exercises needed to prevent contractures and maintain
current level of mobility, pre-filling of medication reminders
and insulin syringes so the client can take medications as
prescribed. Sitters are available to provide respite care while
the primary caregiver is away at work or school. The services
available from VNA Community Services is as varied and
multi-leveled as the needs of the homecare client. Please call

Open Hours: |
Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Services are scheduled 7 days per week, 24 hours per day if
needed. Staff are available on-call 24 hours per day, 7 days per
week. |

used to purchase in-home services for VNA clients. |

Additional Notes: |
Division of Aging caseworkers must evaluate and pre-authorize
the Medicaid or Medicare purchase of services for adults. AS
REQUIRED BY LAW, THE CLIENT WILL BE ASKED BY THE DIVISION OF
AGING CASEWORKER TO NAME A PREFERRED PROVIDER. PLEASE ASK FOR
VNA. |

Interstate 55, take exit #96 onto Route K East past St. Francis
Medical Center and West Park Mall. Turn left onto Kingshighway
at the stoplight and continue north through 3 more stoplights.
The office is on your left directly across from the Food Giant
grocery store. There is a sign in front of the building at the
curb and also one attached to the building above the entrance.
Parking is available in front of the building. Enter through the
door on your left and continue to the front desk where Margie
