Private Duty Pediatric Nurse


•Sikeston LPN or RN, NIGHT nurse needed 40 hours/week.
•Poplar Bluff - Pediatric LPN Day and Night shifts available!
•Sikeston every other weekend 8:00am - 5:00 pm and PRN during week.
•Cape/Jackson- LPN or RN private duty nurse needed, DAYS tues/thurs/Saturday 30 hours per week
•Sikeston Pediatric LPN - Days and every other weekend evening shift (40 hours/week)
•Advance LPN or RN, pediatric nurse needed part time Tues AND Thurs 11:30 am to 6:30 pm and 1 sat a month. 
 •LPN or RN needed in Scott City, Mo- Mondays and Thursdays 3:30-7:30 and every other Saturdayfor 10 hours



TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT: Be available from 8 to 4:30 daily or in the pm hours depending on client's needs. Employees may be required to drive 45 miles or more. 

TRAINING: Training involves a 30 day period where policies and procedures are covered. Computer training will cover the use of the hand held used to make patient visits.

Description: The Private Duty program provides services for those needing skilled services under orders from a private physician delivered in the patient's private home. Funding is provided through Medicaid. Visiting Nurse Association of Southeast Missouri is a not for private organization. 

TYPE OF WORK INVOLVED: Assess symptoms of diseases and responses to treatment, teach patients and caregivers how to give their own care, answer questions about meds, diet, disease process, activity, etc. Administer IV and inject-able meds, perform prescribed treatments, provide wound management, ostomy care, restore independence and communicate changes in the patient's health to physician.

TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT: VNA nurses are paid by the visit, receive mileage or a company car, expected to take monthly & weekly on-call, Be available from 8 to 4:30 daily. Employees may be required to drive 45 miles or more.

QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 18 years of age
Able to read, write, perform simple mathematics and follow directions
Have at least one year home health or nursing experience and a Missouri nursing license.
Must have reliable transportation and proof of automobile insurance.
Must pass pre-employment drug screening, criminal background check , registered w/Family Care Reg.
Must not be listed on Employee Disqualification List (EDL)
Must complete an application in full and furnish at least 2 credible business references with correct addresses and telephone numbers.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50# .

HOSPICE
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Diploma, associate degree, or baccalaureate degree in Nursing.
Certification: Currently licensed as an RN or LPN in the state of Missouri
Experience: At least one year experience as an RN or LPN in acute care setting and one year’s experience in Hospice or Home Health preferred. Oncology or Critical Care Nursing helpful.
Interpersonal Skills/Essential Functions : Ability to accept and utilize supervision. Ability to establish and maintain Constructive working relationships with individuals and families.
Physical Abilities: The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 5 pounds. Occasionally the employee lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance. Must be able to occasionally squat or reach over head.
